The Sports-Chat Photo Gallery Opens

This entry is a not exactly about sports...but it's about the forum which is close enough. The Sports-Chat Photo Gallery is open for business!

Members of the Sports-Chat forums can upload pictures of their own or, view pictures posted by other sports fans from around the world. Some of the pictures will be sports related but there's also a section where members can upload non sports related pictures.

The gallery itself has some nice features. Here are a few:

- Automatic resizing of pictures during the upload process.
- Members can comment on pictures.
- Members can rate pictures.
- There's an "e-card" feature so members can send photos as e-cards to their friends or family.
- The gallery displays recent uploads, and, the most popular pictures based on the number of views.
-The gallery is completely integrated with the forum - there's no need to register twice.

Take a look around, I think you'll like what you see. If you have questions/comments about the gallery you can post them in here.

Cameron & Beltran Collide

Mets right fielder Mike Cameron was taken off the field on a stretcher and driven to a hospital after a diving head-to-head collision with center fielder Carlos Beltran in Thursday`s game against the Padres.

Cameron-Beltran Collision

Beltran left the game with a sore left shoulder and a cut to his face after the 7th inning accident.

Cameron laid on the field for several minutes as he was tended to by trainers from both teams. He lifted up his head at one point, and shielded his eyes from the sun as he was put onto a stretcher and driven off the field. He was wearing neck brace and was immobilized while he was carried from the field.

Beltran, luckily, got up after a few minutes and walked off the field on his own power.

Monday Night Football - Bears 27 Dolphins 24

Monday Night Football & the Chicago Bears - two of my favorite things.

It was nice to see Grossman airing it out, and Urlacher leveling the opposing QB. If the Bear's starters can stay healthy, and Grossman can live up to expectations we just might see Chicago in the post season this year.

The Bears victory aside, the best part of last night's game was seeing that lazy, dope smoking loser Ricky Williams rush 5 times for only 8 yards. Welcome back to the NFL Williams...you jerk. I have my fingers crossed hoping you end up with an early season career ending injury - and not one that's bong related.

Antoine Walker Heads to Miami

Miami and four other teams pulled off a megadeal (The five-team, 13-player deal, is the largest in NBA history) Tuesday night that beat every trade in the history of the NBA. The biggest name involved in the trade was Antoine Walker...he's heading to Miami to suit up with Shaq & company.

This will be Walker's fourth different NBA team since the 2003-04 season. He's spent time with Dallas, Atlanta and Boston. A prolific three-point shooter, Walker averaged 19.1 points and nine rebounds per contest with the Hawks and Celtics last year.

Palmeiro Tests Positive

Rafael Palmeiro who last month became the fourth member of baseball's 3,000-hit, 500-home run club, will be suspended for violating baseball's drug-testing plan. This was confirmed by SI.com's Tom Verducci.

Keep in mind this is the same guy who made headlines in March when he denied ever taking performance enhancing drugs during a congressional hearing on steroid use in baseball. Maybe he thought he didn't have to worry about it anymore...

The penalty for a first offense is a 10-day suspension without pay. The Players Association released a statement that its grievance on behalf of Palmeiro has been denied by the The Major League Baseball Arbitration Panel.
